Human Rights Policy
At Log House Foods, we recognize the fundamental importance of respecting and promoting human rights as an integral part of our business. We fully endorse the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) as a global standard guiding our commitment to prevent, mitigate, and address adverse human rights impacts linked to our operations, products, services, and supply chains.
Our Commitment
- We commit to respecting all internationally recognized human rights and relevant International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions.
- We pledge to uphold the dignity, safety, and well-being of all individuals impacted by our business, including employees, suppliers, customers, and communities.
- We explicitly prohibit forced labor, child labor, discrimination, harassment, and any form of exploitation within our own operations and expect the same commitments from our suppliers and partners.
- We strive to implement due diligence processes to identify, prevent, and address potential and actual human rights risks in our value chain.
- We support true freedom of association, fair wages, safe working conditions, and equal opportunity at every level of our business.
Governance and Accountability
- Senior management at Log House Foods takes active responsibility for overseeing our human rights performance. Our Executive Leadership Team, led by our Director for Human Rights, conducts an annual review of our human rights impacts, risks, and mitigation efforts.
- This review informs ongoing improvements to policies, training, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring accountability and transparency.
- We commit to communicating progress on human rights commitments transparently with our employees, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- We foster a culture of respect, learning, and improvement by providing training and resources to employees and partners on human rights issues and responsibilities.
- We encourage open communication and provide accessible channels for raising concerns or grievances without fear of retaliation.
- Where adverse human rights impacts are identified, we commit to effective remediation in line with the UNGPs and internationally accepted best practice.
Collaboration and Engagement
- We support industry peers, governments, and other stakeholders to strengthen human rights protections across the food sector and supply chains.
- We continually seek to align our practices with evolving international standards and stakeholder expectations.
At Log House Foods, respect for human rights is a core value that guides how we operate and grow sustainably. Through commitment, action, and accountability, we aim to contribute positively to the lives of all people connected to our business.
