Make sure
you carefully measure each ingredient each ingredient when baking goods
Make sure you are using the right tools for measuring the ingredients.
Use liquid measuring cups for wet ingredients and dry measuring cups for
ingredients such as flour and sugar
Do not substitute a low-fat spread or stick when a recipe calls
for margarine or butter.
If a recipe calls for softened butter or margarine and you did
not have the time/ forgot to take a stick of butter out of the fridge,
simply cut it into small pieces and place it to a bowl to warm to room
temperature. On the other hand, if the recipe calls for chilled butter,
not using refrigerated butter could cause the recipe to fail.
The keys to success in baking goods are the following. Take the
time to accurately measure the ingredients, follow preparation instructions,
and use the proper baking pans.
